Summer in Summary
Welcome to our Quarterly update for all past and present participants at Broulee and Ulladulla Surf School.
I would like to extend a huge thankyou to everyone who visited us this summer and enjoyed your experience with us as we certainly had a lot of fun bringing surfing to you!
Once again, this summer was our biggest season yet, with many, many smiling faces and laughter making our job a truly satisfying experience.

Pure yoga and surf retreat:
Broulee April 9-13 2006
Broulee Surf School is very excited to present our first Samudra Pure Yoga and Surf Retreat.
The aim of this retreat is to synthesise the practice of yoga with surfing. By combining experience and expertise Broulee Surf School and Samudra will offer a truly unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of both Yoga and surfing.
Ideal for Beginners in surfing and yoga, professional surf instruction will be offered by Belinda and her team at the Broulee surf school and the daily yoga and Philosophy classes will be lead by Sheridan Hammond from Samudra.
We are very pleased to have Sheridan's skills and perspectives, whose teaching experience includes Astanga workshops taught in Dublin, Chile, Brazil, Monaco, France, London, Vancouver, Perth and at home in Margaret River.
Now Sheridan's warmth, devotion to the practice, and his love of teaching can be experienced in a retreat setting that aims to inspire self discovery and appreciation of the natural Beauty of the South Coast.

Surf Etiquette slide nights
With the South coast having record visitor numbers this year, the beaches of both Broulee and Narrawallee were full of surfers at all levels of ability.
We can see that the rise in popularity of surfing is going to continue and with it is the responsibility to learn proper surf etiquette.
Broulee surf school once again conducted the a series of free surf slide nights at Broulee Van Park in early January to introduce the concepts of surf safety and etiquette to visitors to the South Coast.
Supported by the environmental education department of the Eurobodalla Shire these nights are proving to be very successful in raising awareness about environmental issues and surf culture, with over 80 participants attending on Jan 10th.

Keeping our Beaches Beautiful!
We would also once again like to thank you for contributing to North Broulee being the overall winner for the south coast region for the Keep Australia Beautiful Clean beach challenge 2006!
Our commitment to the environment with beach clean ups and raising awareness all contributes to the amazing community effort that makes our beach not only the best for learning to surf but also the cleanest!
We would also like to encourage all interested people to register with www.surfrider.org.au.
Keep your eyes on this space as a South coast Charter is soon to be formed, where surfers and beach lovers can give back by helping raise environmental awareness.
South Coast Autumn Surfing Opportunities:
Now is the time to take advantage of beautiful weather, warm water and no crowds!
Autumn is always a great season for waves and to encourage past participants back to the beach we are offering a weekend lesson package which involves a free afternoon board hire(valued at $40) with each Sat and Sun morning lesson booked.
Get those private surfing lessons in before winter if you want to refine the skills you learnt over summer. Mid week is a perfect time to get personalised attention with no crowds.
Second Hand Board Sales!
Yes, these boards will sell like hot cakes. We only have a few used boards left at $350, which we turn over at the end of each season. Call us to place a deposit if you are interested!
