Welcome to our Quarterly update for all past and present participants at Broulee and Ulladulla Surf School, and the many people who have expressed an interest in learning about what exciting events we have coming up in the new season.
The Winter in Summary
So where did we go this time?
This year my journey took me through the western Australian desert, into the Kimberley and onto Indonesia. As always I did surf some beautiful waves and saw some wonderful landscapes and so I have included some of these photos to inspire the traveler in all of you to come with us on a surf adventure in the New Year!
With our surf and yoga retreats we aim to follow the seasons and the waves but not the crowds! Join us on a journey of self-discovery that will take you to find mellow waves in unique natural settings. Whether it is to Broulee, North Stradbroke Island or our Maldives boat trip we can take you to some truly beautiful places.

Womens' Yoga & Surf Retreats

Broulee Surf School is very excited to present our first Yoga and Surf Retreat for women in a unique location at the Burrawangs Coastal Resort, Guerilla Bay.
Develop your surfing and deepen your yoga practice with like-minded women in a relaxed and nurturing atmosphere.
Our aim is to have fun! We focus on the sense of well-being that comes through the synthesis of learning to surf, a regular yoga practice and a healthy diet. We encourage a sense of adventure, travel to unique destinations and surf new waves with new friends.
Small groups are tailored to meet the requirements of all abilities. Perfect for the pure beginner or the advanced, both on a surfboard and a yoga mat!
This retreat is perfect for past participants at the surf school and anyone interested in learning to surf as we all know Broulee has some of the best learning and intermediate waves on the planet! Take the time out and use this week to really move your surfing to the next level.

What else is New?
We now have our own holiday rental accommodation in Broulee on the beach! Broulee Beach Surf Accommodation is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom fully self contained holiday rental apartment perfect for families or large groups sleeping up to 9 people. We are now taking bookings for 2006 / 2007 Christmas school holidays and weekends - so if you haven’t booked your accommodation for this spring and summer then call us ASAP.

South Coast Spring Surfing Opportunities:
Now is the time to take advantage of beautiful weather, warm water and no crowds!
Spring is always a great season for waves and to encourage past participants back to the beach we are offering a weekend lesson package which involves a free afternoon board hire (valued at $40) with each Sat and Sun morning lesson booked.
Get those private surfing lessons in before - mid week is a perfect time to get personalised attention with no crowds.

And of course we are always gearing up for some great women’s and girls surfing days where some major companies support us in encouraging women to get out in the water and have some fun together!
Once again this year we have the hugely successful Billabong Day on October 4th at Ulladulla, a beach party with show bags, music and a surf lesson with us! This is already booking out so check out www.billabonggirls.com.au to secure your place.
On November 11 we have the Roxy Surf Jam for the first time in Ulladulla, perfect for all abilities but especially girls who have done lessons or are intermediate surfers - and it’s free!! (surfjam.roxy.com)
