I first met the Wehner family when I was only two years old. We all began surfing and traveling from an early age. Starting in the shore breaks of the South Coast, surfing has taken us all in many different paths throughout the world. From humble beings riding foamies at North Broulee to touring the world as a professional surfer, my association with the Wehners has always been strong. I distinctively remember the first surfboard I could turn was one from Kel's surf shop and from that moment on, surfing had captivated me. Coming from the South Coast had big disadvantages in terms of coaching and sponsorship and, without the guidance of Kel and his sponsorship, I think it would have been almost impossible to reach the level of surfing that Phil [MacDonald], Shane [Wehner], Damien [Wehner] and myself have achieved. I have been fortunate enough to go on and make a living at of this wonderful sport and travel the world at the same time. If you are interested in surfing then there would be no else I would recommend to you than the Broulee Surf School. This family has so much experience both in and out of the water and are happy, loving people to be around. Without them I wouldn't be where I am today. Have fun and keep surfing!
